HOW TO MAKEPERFECT COFFEE LATTE AT HOME

ESPRESSO MACHINE

Brewing method:

Caffe Latte is made of italian origin espresso coffee and milk. Espresso is coffee brewed by forcing a small amount of nearly boiling water under pressure through finely ground coffee beans.

Drink type:

Coffee Latte is a milk and coffee drink that is made with espresso, steamed milk, and milk foam.

HOW TO DO IT BETTER

GRIND

Coffee beans should be finely ground. When you rub the coffee between your fingers, you can feel the coffee particles more clearly, but the fraction should still be very fine. That makes a good Latte.

3:1 (3 parts milk to 1 part coffee espresso)

QUALITY

Thinking of a cup of coffee it is important to think about the water first.The water quality effects the final result very strongly. The water shloud be clean, odorless, transparent and without chlorine. Use the water you would drink by yourself.

HARDNESS

To extract the best aromas from coffee you need water rich in calcium and magnesium in particular. The amount of these two minerals dissolved in water is a measure of hardness.

TEMPERATURE OF MILK

The best milk temperature for Caffe Latte is between 55°C and 65°C. (139–149°F)

MILK, CREAM

Good quality milk and best selecion coffee let enjoy best coffee latte. Lack of strata of colour in a freshly poured latte doesn’t happen by accident. A poor-quality milk will lead to limp froth and foam that does disappearing too quckly.

SUGAR, SWEETENERS

You can use white, brown sugar or even sirup of your beloved flavour choice. It's your time, so do what makes you happier!

ProTip #1

You don't need to have a professional espresso machine to froth milk for your caffe latte. You can use a French Press or a manual milk frother to froth milk.

ProTip #2

To make sure that the milk has the right consistency, do not heat it above 65 degrees (it cannot burn your hands).

A traditional latte is unsweetened, but you can please your guests adding desired flavoured sirup to you latte coffee. Use your imagination and make latte your own way.
